Victor Hugo
The drawings of Victor Hugo were one of the big influences in beginning my own series of drawings (2005) which focus on spatiality. I feel a strong connection to his experimental use of materials as well as the kinds of imaginative spaces he creates. The main difference being that he usually lands just inside the realm of recognition, and I land just outside of it.
