Adding Soft Forms
Today I had the class start to add soft forms (with oil based clay) to their carved plaster skulls. Turns out nothing sticks to plaster very well - so we had to hammer in little nails everywhere that we planned to add clay. Below are a few pictures from the beginning of class. Notice the drawing at the bottom, they are simultaneously making drawings of their heads. These will eventually have muscles as well.
